Postpartum Clothes: Amazon Finds that are a Whole Vibe (with no bounce back energy)

I have been postpartum four times now, and all four times I have completely deluded myself into thinking that this time will be different.

As soon as I have the baby, I’m going to look amazing. I’ll probably fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. All the hard work and exercise I did while pregnant will magically pay off. I won’t even have a belly to hide.

It was fun living in my delusions while they lasted.

The reality, every single time, is that postpartum hits -and it hits hard. Your body is different. Your clothes don’t fit. And somehow, even though you just grew and delivered a human, you’re expected to look like you didn’t.

So here we are: postpartum number four, and I have curated an Amazon haul just for this season.

  • Pink matching set - $25 - i’m wearing medium in my photo

  • Brown striped set (note- I also have this in red!)- $15 - I’m wearing large in my photo.

  • Leopard sleeve long sleeve - $24 - I’m wearing a large in my photo, but I wish I had bought a medium.

  • Pink stripes green sleeves - $9 (literally! 9!)- wearing a large, wish I had bought a medium.

  • Pink vintage wash tee (this comes in a three pack!) - $39 for a pack of three - I originally ordered these in a size large and I sent them back for medium. They are a true over sized tee. I am literally obsessed!

  • Biker shorts - $25 for 7 - special mention to these biker shorts, these shorts go up nice and high over your belly. They are not a control top - I repeat, there is no tightening or control in the top… But I like them for that. Sometimes I just wanna be cozy instead of controlled. I also really like the shorts because if you are wearing a regular shirt that you have to pull up from the bottom to breast-feed in, the shorts cover the belly. That is everything! I ordered a large / extra large

  • brown striped oversize top - $15 - I ordered a large, wish I had gotten medium

  • The cutest chunky brown checkered sweater - $32 - I wear a medium.

  • Burnt orange, long sleeve top with brown sleeve - $20 - I ordered a large, but I wish I had gotten a medium.

  • Red checkered sweater - $30 - I bought a large and feel that it’s true to size!

  • Viral bum bag (pictured in the photo of me in pink shirt and teal shorts) - $18 - and it holds SO MUCH STUFF

I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I’ve ordered way more clothes than what I’m sharing here. I’ve tried them on, hated them, sent them back, and then ordered more. At this point, I’m pretty sure my friend at the UPS store is placing bets on when I’ll walk in next with another Amazon return.

All the clothes I’m sharing are Reagan-approved. Mom-approved. Postpartum-approved.

They’re comfortable. They’re good quality. And most importantly, they’re flattering on a postpartum body - because apparently it’s not enough to grow a human, we have to look like we just grew a human for months (years?) afterward.

If you’re currently in a postpartum identity crisis (I’ve had four of those now), these pieces might help you feel a little more like yourself again. Or at least help you get dressed without wanting to cry, which honestly feels like a win.

These are cute, practical, forgiving, and realistic - no “bounce back” energy here. Just clothes that work with your body while you’re healing, adjusting, and figuring out who you are again on the other side of pregnancy.

If nothing else, I hope this post reminds you that you’re not alone, you’re not failing, and you don’t owe anyone a flat stomach six weeks postpartum.

And if you do end up ordering, returning, re-ordering, and becoming best friends with your UPS store too - welcome to the club.
